Jen was a special soul.

I met her around the time I met Steven back in 2014. There are countless memories that come to mind from over the years.

One that sticks out clearly now is an evening where there were a few different friends and family in town when Steven, Jenny, and I lived in South Philly. We randomly decided to meet up at a local bar for some early Sunday evening drinks. The bar was completely empty. All of a sudden the dj started playing dance music for literally no one. Then out of nowhere, Jen got up and started dancing. I believe she asked the rest of our group to begin dancing as well. Next thing you know, we had an all out dance party with moms, dads, wives, girlfriends, and friends. It was such a lively moment. So much joy. You could see it in Jen’s face and dancing. No matter what else was going on in life at that moment, she was lost in just dancing. Just being herself. It was a beautiful moment to experience with her and everyone else there.

There were of course other sweet and short moments throughout the years whenever she’d come visit SJ. She was a loving presence in not only Steven, Jenny, and her family’s lives. She was an electrifying and welcoming presence in everyone’s life that she touched. A beautiful soul that lived inside of a beautiful person. Rest easy Jen. Your next adventure awaits you.
